Sherly Egg Died on the 17 December 2009
Sherly Egg is a real hen and lives in Sheffield England. Sherly is a 'Silkie Chicken'
Sherly has a partner called Eric
Sherly Egg didn't know her parents, she was an orphan and
needed to go into a closed environment with a whole load more
chickens, and not a lot to eat or drink.
Times were harsh, with a lot of fighting, this is where she met
Eric whom took her under his wing.
People used to come and take chickens away and they never came
back. But one day a man came and took Sherly and Eric away. But
one night disaster struck; a fox got in and killed a whole host
of chickens, Sherly and Eric escaped with the skin of their
beaks.
So this man decided to give them to me, so far they live happy;
out and about dawn 'til dusk and safe.
Sherly loves to dig for worms and stuff, she has toast in the
morning and loves Bakewell Tart, Sherly is totally tame and
follows us about and even pecks on our back door when she
fancies a treat or sometimes just to be mischievous.
